Equipment Specialist

We seek a highly skilled Equipment Specialist to oversee the performance of production equipment and machinery in our manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal functionality, conducting routine maintenance, and supporting production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to diagnose faults and implement repairs to minimize downtime.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain automated systems and packaging machinery.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance tasks to ensure continuous operation.
• Maintain accurate records of machine performance and report on any issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, GMP, and company standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues on factory upgrades, commissioning, and improvement projects.

Requirements

• Trade qualification as a Millwright (essential).
• At least 35 years' experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Experience working with high-speed packaging lines and automated machinery.
• Knowledge of PLCs an advantage.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including standby and overtime when required.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
