You’ll work side-by-side with the Investments Director and Head of Transactions, aligning technical, legal, and financial workstreams to deliver strategic deals that accelerate the energy transition.
Duties & Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Lead & Negotiate: Drive commercial negotiations and close-out of primary and secondary transactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Execute Transactions: Prepare, review, and finalize legal agreements critical to deal execution.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Support commercial choices that advance deals while staying aligned with company objectives.
- Financial Close Leadership: Develop and implement financial close strategies, managing multidisciplinary workstreams to meet timelines and deliverables.
- Financial Modelling Oversight: Review and challenge financial models from bid stage through to close, supported by modelling specialists.
- Due Diligence: Lead and coordinate full due-diligence processes with internal teams and external advisors.
- Structuring Deals: Collaborate with senior investment leads to structure project transactions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of transaction requirements.
- Credit Approvals: Support credit approval processes from early-stage review through to final approvals.
- Market Opportunities: Contribute to evaluating and executing secondary acquisitions and divestments.
- PPA Negotiations: Participate in Power Purchase Agreement negotiations during tender evaluations.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, or Business (MBA advantageous).
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in renewable-energy project finance, banking, or infrastructure finance.
- Proven expertise in transaction execution, commercial negotiation, financial modelling, and due diligence.
- Demonstrated success managing financial close workstreams in large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to thrive in multidisciplinary teams and manage complex deal timelines.
