We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Material Planning Manager position under Supply Chain. The position will report to the Head of Supply Chain and is based in Dunnottar.

Job Purpose

Gibela Rail Consortium invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Material Planning Manager to be based in Dunnottar. The position reports to Head of Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide constant visibility to the Production Team on parts availability
  • Drive the appropriate action plans for critical materials at risk
  • Set‑up appropriate suppliers monitoring: on‑time in full delivery performance, visits and calls to follow the activity or manage crisis, non‑conformity deliveries.
  • Set up robust processes to provide to suppliers maximum visibility on detailed requirements and getting accurate confirmation
  • Pilot the ERP for related activity: logistics parameters defined with the suppliers, latest delivery information updated in ERP.
  • Ensure that logistics requirements are taken into account during the Business awards (with the support of the logistics methods)
  • Manage the Material Planning team: Budget, recruitment, workload organization, KPI's and individual targets, development, team animation and information cascading.
  • Drive the team KPI's consolidation and monitoring
Qualifications
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain or relevant degree
  • 10 years’ experience in Material Planning/Industrial Planning of which 5 years must be at managerial level
  • Advanced knowledge of Supply chain processes especially in material management
  • Strong negotiation skills & leadership
  • Active team player, deadline driven, process driven
Special Requirements

The job involves frequent mobility, with work in several depots, and at times on the train corridors.

To carry out technical support and maintenance on 24/7 shift & on‑call basis (night, day, weekend).
