Role
They are seeking a results-driven Marketing Operations Manager to optimise B2B promotional campaigns and strengthen the effectiveness of the marketing function across events, media, and advisory services.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves process optimisation, and is passionate about data, automation, and driving measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Automation & CRM: Own and optimise HubSpot (campaign reporting, workflows, lead scoring, segmentation, data hygiene, and systems administration).
- Marketing Automation Workflows: Design, implement, and maintain marketing automation workflows to drive engagement, lead nurture, and conversion.
- CRM Process Alignment: Align automation and CRM processes with the full buyer journey – from acquisition to retention.
- System Integrations: Ensure seamless system integrations (including registration platforms, event apps, and APIs).
- Data, Analytics & Insights (Guardian of Customer Data): Ensure data accuracy, compliance, enrichment, and segmentation.
- Dashboards: Build and maintain dashboards to track campaign performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI.
- Advanced Queries: Run advanced queries to create highly targeted and segmented campaigns.
- Actionable Insights: Deliver insights to improve conversion rates, audience engagement, and revenue growth.
- Conversion Rate Optimization: Support CRO strategies with A/B testing and landing page optimisation.
- Campaign Operations: Support the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns across events, media, and digital platforms.
- Lead Management Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to streamline lead management strategies.
- Campaign Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on campaign performance, identifying opportunities for process optimisation and scalability.
- Automation of Manual Tasks: Reduce manual tasks by implementing automation and system-driven efficiencies.
- Technology & Systems Management: Manage marketing systems (HubSpot, registration platforms, event apps) to ensure they are integrated and fully optimised.
- Website & Platform Enhancements: Contribute to website optimisation, platform enhancements, and other technology solutions.
- Technology Adoption: Stay on top of new marketing technologies and best practices, making recommendations for adoption.
Minimum Skills and Experience
- 3–5 years' experience in marketing operations, campaign operations, or CRM-focused roles, preferably in B2B events, SaaS, or media.
- Based in Cape Town with a valid working permit.
- Strong understanding of marketing funnels, CRM systems, automation tools, and data management.
- Proficiency in HubSpot (workflows, reporting, automation) is essential.
- Proficiency in data visualisation tools (HubSpot Dashboards, Power BI, Looker Studio).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, PECR, POPIA).
- Experience with event registration platforms and apps (preferred).
- Familiarity with attribution modelling and campaign-level tracking.
