Job summary

A leading company in the cleaning equipment sector is seeking an experienced executive to oversee daily operations and strategic planning. The role requires extensive experience in managing P&L and developing business strategies. The ideal candidate will ensure operational excellence and compliance with BBBEE targets while fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years in Cleaning Equipment or related industries.
  • 5 years experience running businesses with direct P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the organisation.
  • Implement departmental goals and drive the team to adhere to excellence.
  • Develop and present the strategic and annual business plans to the Board.

Education

Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Commerce or Industrial / Business-related discipline

Undergraduate degree (Engineering, Commerce or Industrial / Business-related discipline)

Post-graduate Degree in Business Management will be an added advantage

Minimum of 10 years in Cleaning Equipment or related industries or other Capital Equipment or diversified equipment or industrial industries, including a minimum of 5 years of experience running businesses with direct P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility

Responsibilities

Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the organisation

Implement departmental goals and continually drive the team to adhere to excellence in all phases of the business

Ensure that the operations meet the expectations of its clients, Board and Shareholders

Draft policies and prepare procedures to implement the organisational policies, review existing policies on an annual basis and recommend changes to the Board as appropriate

Design the business plan including short and long-range goals

Execute effectively on the agreed policies and strategies

Develop and oversee sales and marketing plans

Lead the preparation of all budgets for Board approval

Establish succession plans and continually groom new talent for future development and leadership

Meet on a regular basis with key customers, partners and vendors

Develop and present the strategic and annual business plans to the Board for approval

Report to the Board on progress against the strategic and annual business plans on a regular basis

Ensure that appropriate internal audit processes and procedures are in place

Ensure attainment of BBBEE compliance targets for the organisation

Ensure strong and lasting relationships and communication lines are developed with the Goscor Cleaning Equipment OEMs
