Job Title: Manager: Service

Location: Motus Welkom

Motus Welkom is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager: Service. This position involves overseeing the service department operations to ensure the timely and efficient completion of vehicle repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling and assigning work to technicians, monitoring progress, and ensuring high quality standards are met.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service department efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Maintain and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other departments within the organization.
  • Provide effective leadership, coaching, and support to service department staff.
  • Exceed all targets and labour sale objectives through efficient workshop operations.
  • Ensure efficient equipment control, assets control and fluent administration processes.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead and manage service team.
  • Create and Leverage Collaborative Partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer and Lindsay Saker policies as well as industry guidelines.
  • Achieve industry leading standards of customer care, process efficiency and cost control.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the automotive service industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational goals.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and service management software.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Recognized Motor Trade plus N6 or Technical Diploma.
  • Exceed all targets and Labour sale objectives through efficient workshop operations.
  • Ensure efficient equipment control, assets control and fluent administration processes.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead and manage service team.

  • Proven track record in managing people and working on OEM software systems.
  • Computer skills, preferably MS work processing, Drive and preferable VWSA operating systems.
  • Financial-reporting and forecasting skills.
  • Motor industry and Workshop management knowledge.

  • Professional & Technical Expertise in Vehicle Service & Repair Management.
  • Proven track record in managing people and working on VWSA software systems.
