A global testing and certification company seeks a Principal Auditor for Responsible Sourcing/Ethical Trade in South Africa. The role involves leading audit activities, ensuring compliance with procedures, and mentoring audit teams. Candidates must be registered with APSCA, possess strong communication skills, and have knowledge of labour laws. Sub-contractor position with opportunities for travel and professional growth.

A Principal Auditor for Responsible Sourcing/Ethical Trade/Social Compliance works with audit teams to plan, prioritize, and perform audit activities and preparation of reports to ensure technical excellence. They are experienced Lead Auditors with an in-depth knowledge of the issues on the markets in which they operate, and typically master different schemes. They are in contact with the Program Manager for these schemes and support the local implementation and improvement.
The ideal candidate for this position must have the ability to work under own initiative and in planning and prioritising workloads. experience of project management (desirable), leadership and team commitment, good communication skills (training), experience in managing/performing an activity related to the concerned product or similar. Educated to degree-level, successfully completed recognised auditor training (APSCA), recognised approval as second-party auditor, or training to achieve such sign-off. Minimum two years' experience of supply chain activities, experience of team management/leadership (desirable), excellent communication skills, coupled with Advanced level of English and Afrikaans.
