About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Key Account Manager to join our client. This role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in handling key accounts, with a strong background in quoting for inbound groups and group series from Europe and the USA, specifically for Southern African destinations. The successful candidate will work directly with the Managing Director and play a crucial role in maintaining long-established client relationships while ensuring accurate, timely, and competitive quotations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate quotations for inbound groups and group series from Europe and the USA for Southern Africa, including Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Mozambique.
  • Negotiate competitive rates with suppliers to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Liaise effectively with established clients to maintain and strengthen relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with group consultants managing operations and logistics.
  • Deliver quotations and basic itineraries within a 24–48-hour turnaround time.
  • Ensure pricing accuracy, speed, and attention to detail in all proposals.
  • Work directly with the Managing Director on senior-level projects and client accounts.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the travel/tourism industry.
  • Proven track record of quoting for inbound group travel and series from Europe and the USA.
  • In-depth product knowledge of Southern Africa (Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique).
  • Strong supplier negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Tourplan.
  • High level of accuracy, speed, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
