Job summary

A recruitment agency based in Somerset West is seeking an Export Officer to ensure compliance and traceability for organic consignments exported mainly to the EU and USA. My Client is hiring an Export Officer. You will report directly to the Export Manager. The Export Officer plays a pivotal role to ensure the traceability and documentary compliance check for each organic consignment being sold or exported, in particular to the EU and USA.

Your tasks

You will be responsible to carry out the following duties:

  • Checking the completeness and eligibility of Transaction Certificate (TC) and Certificate of Inspection (COI) applications received from clients
  • Cross-checking documents to validate traceability and accuracy
  • Assessing the compliance based on scheme (EU and NOP) requirements
  • Issue and send the approved TC/COI to the clients within a strict 3-day deadline
  • Update internal records on all platforms
  • Working proactively, along with other departments, ensuring clients and internal staff understand the process by means of guidelines and training.
Profile
  • Tertiary degree or diploma in Logistics, Education, or other relevant field
  • Relevant job experience will be advantageous but is not a requirement
  • High level of computer literacy – Confident MS Office user
  • Excellent English and Afrikaans spoken and written competency with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Performs well under high-pressure situations
  • Attention to detail and deadline-orientated
  • Good communication skills

Type of contract: Permanent (6-month probation)
