Job summary

A healthcare provider is seeking a Junior Clinical Engineer to ensure maintenance and coordination of medical equipment technology at Life Wilgers Hospital. The role involves performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and training hospital staff. The ideal candidate will possess a B-Tech or National Diploma in clinical/biomedical engineering and should have experience with medical equipment management. Additionally, they must be a member of CEASA and have good problem-solving skills. Applicants should have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel.

Qualifications

  • B-Tech or National Diploma in clinical/biomedical engineering is required.
  • Experience in management and/or maintenance of medical equipment in a clinical environment is necessary.
  • Member of the Clinical Engineering Association of South Africa (CEASA) is preferred.
  • Computer proficiency is required.
  • Driver’s license and ability to travel are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and coordinate the maintenance of medical equipment technology.
  • Conduct first line repairs and modifications on medical equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections in line with protocols.
  • Involved in medical equipment selection and acquisition.
  • Train hospital staff on equipment usage.
