Job Purpose

To ensure the seamless operation of IT systems by providing technical support, managing helpdesk services, and maintaining network and software integrity. The role focuses on delivering integrated IT solutions, managing assets, and maintaining accurate documentation to support organizational efficiency and security

Responsibilities
  • Providing training and guidance to users on IT systems and best practices
  • Providing assistance to users with hardware, software, and network issues. This includes troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to ensure smooth operations
  • Implementing efficient helpdesk functions, responding to, managing, and resolving helpdesk tickets
  • Installing and updating software to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure
  • Ensuring the availability and integration of IT services across various departments
  • Receiving, commissioning, repairing, and distributing IT assets
  • Maintaining and monitoring network systems to ensure optimal performance and connectivity
  • Keeping detailed records of IT issues, solutions, and system configurations
Required Qualifications

Higher Certificate IT related

Required Experience
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar field
  • Technical Support: Experience in providing technical support to users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, is essential
  • Network Management: Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and Wi‑Fi troubleshooting. Experience with network monitoring tools.
  • Helpdesk Operations: Experience in managing helpdesk operations, including ticketing systems and user support
  • Software Installation and Configuration: Experience in installing and configuring software applications and operating systems
  • Asset Management: Tracking and maintaining IT inventory. Commissioning and decommissioning hardware.
Recommendations
  • National Diploma in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
  • Certification such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Special requirement(s)

Will be required to work after hours.
