Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our team in Johannesburg South South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for solving complex IT issues. As an IT Technician you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, troubleshooting hardware and software problems and maintaining our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to clients both remotely and on-site
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
• Install and configure computer systems networks printers and other IT equipment
• Monitor and maintain the companys IT infrastructure including servers routers and firewalls
• Conduct regular system backups and ensure data integrity
• Keep track of inventory and order new equipment as needed
• Train and assist users on new software and hardware
• Stay updated on the latest technology trends and make recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex IT issues
• Adhere to company policies and procedures for data security and system maintenance
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive relationship with clients

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
• 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware software and networking
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Knowledge of network security and data backup solutions
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A Network or Microsoft Certified Professional are a plus

Working Conditions

This is a full-time permanent position based in Johannesburg South South Africa.
