Job Purpose

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring its efficiency and reliability. This role involves leading a team of IT professionals, planning and implementing technology solutions, and aligning IT strategies with business goals. The IT Manager will also manage IT projects, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure cybersecurity measures are in place.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Management
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
IT Strategy and Planning
  • Develop and implement IT strategies and policies that align with the organization’s goals.
  • Plan and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and expenditures.
Infrastructure Management
  • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT systems and applications.
Project Management
  • Manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with other departments to understand their technology needs and deliver solutions.
Cybersecurity
  • Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect the organization’s data and IT assets.
  • Monitor and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
Vendor and Asset Management
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring optimal performance and value.
  • Oversee the procurement and lifecycle management of IT assets.
Technical Support
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure effective helpdesk operations and user support services.
Compliance and Documentation
  • Ensure IT operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) preferred.
  • Experience : 12-15 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in IT infrastructure management, network administration, cybersecurity practices, and various software and hardware technologies.
  • Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Project Management : Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Problem‑Solving : Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
