In this IP Operations Manager Position

Responsibilities
  • Improve Industrial projects service levels and internal KPI’s
  • Improve Customer satisfaction and adherence to Customer SLA’s
  • Develop and motivate staff
  • Improve IP profitability
  • Improve IP industry compliance
  • Improve IP company policies
  • Improve productivity
  • Liaising with External Stakeholders: DHL Customer Base, DHL Suppliers, DHL Partners
  • Liaising with Internal Stakeholders: OFR Product, AFR Product, LMS Product, RFR Product, Sales (BDM’s) & Customer Service (KAM’s), Regional Management E Cape & KZN, Country Management PM/RO/IT for functions and support
  • Ensure IP compliance with Industry and Internal DGF policies and standards
  • Participating in customer solutions development and implementation of new accounts
  • Ensure IP is optimally resourced to meet service standards
  • Visit customers to maintain customer relationships, research customer needs and monitor customer satisfaction
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage supplier performance
  • Monitor the IP, customer and shipment profitability
  • Oversee and assist with estimates and RFQs/tenders
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices in line with DGF financial controls
  • Ensure continuous improvement by implementing First Choice, Station Improvements and adherence to quality policies
  • Produce weekly, monthly reports and other ad-hoc reports as required by management
  • Develop a high performance service culture within the functional department
  • Plan, organize and direct an efficient and effective functional department
  • Develop KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance
  • Consult performance appraisal
  • Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets
  • Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department (Procurement and Vendor Management)
  • Lead the procurement of goods and services and transportation capacities to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business/ function in scope
  • Cooperate with the DGF ZA procurement specialist to ensure compliance with all required procurement policies and processes
  • Ensure that appropriate supplier evaluations have been planned, performed and documented in accordance with ISO and relevant SOPs
  • Ensure all suppliers for the department have the required valid certificates and licences in place
