Business Development Executive - Connected Network

The Business Development Executive - Connected Network will be responsible for qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities, as well as contacting potential clients through cold calls and emails. A firm understanding of IoT solutions and connectivity is critical in this position while presenting our company to potential clients.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Key Account Management
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for all presales and sales activities, from lead generation, sales cycle management, and deal closure.
  • Develops and implements an agreed-upon Sales Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base in the relevant vertical area.
  • Works within the sales, product, and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.
  • Promote the company's SaaS (Software as a Service) & IoT solutions by prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals.
  • Source new customer opportunities.
  • Negotiate agreements and close deals.
  • Achieve targets as set by your designated manager.
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities.
  • Generate leads through cold calling from the database; canvassing; referrals; networking.
  • Manage conversion ratio from lead generation into new business sale.
  • Build a quality pipeline to meet set monthly new business sales targets.
  • Follow up on leads and prospects to close.
  • Manage pipeline velocity to drive a deal/opportunity to close.
  • Maintain online CRM report to Sales & Operations Director.
  • Maintain sales professional standards at all times.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • At least 5 years' sales experience of complex and/or big deal management with a proven track record in closing deals.
  • At least 3 years' experience selling IoT solutions across industries, as well as experience in hardware, networking, and connectivity would be advantageous.
  • Proven strong hunting skills required for closing deals and achieving sales targets.
  • Ambitious and persistent.

  • Articulate, confident communicator with presentation skills.
  • Thrive in a pressurized, sales-driven environment.
  • Ability to anticipate or handle customer objections.
