Job summary

A logistics staffing agency is seeking an Inventory Controller for their e-commerce logistics team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will ensure stock accuracy and oversee inventory management tasks. This role requires excellent attention to detail, experience in warehousing, and a commitment to client satisfaction. Knowledge of warehouse systems like SAP is advantageous. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years in inventory control, warehousing, or distribution.
  • Preferred background in e-commerce, retail, B2B or B2C logistics.
  • Knowledge of warehousing processes, distribution operations, and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouse and e-commerce systems.
  • Monitor stock movements, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate variances.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound flows to ensure correct picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Conduct cycle counts, stock audits, and quality checks.
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
  • Generate inventory reports and insights for management.

Inventory Controller – E‑Commerce Logistics & Warehouse

Are you detail‑driven, analytical, and passionate about keeping operations running smoothly? We’re looking for an Inventory Controller to join our client fast‑paced e‑commerce logistics and warehouse team. In this role, you’ll be the guardian of stock accuracy, ensuring that every item is accounted for, every report is precise, and every client order is fulfilled without a hitch.

Available immediately to start on a short term contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouse and e‑commerce systems.
  • Monitor stock movements, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate variances.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound flows to ensure correct picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Conduct cycle counts, stock audits, and quality checks to uphold service levels.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and warehouse SOPs.
  • Generate inventory reports and provide insights to management for decision‑making.

  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and MS Office (SAP experience an advantage).
