Overview

Position: IT Project Manager; Position type: Contract (Hybrid); Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in software and application development to lead end-to-end project lifecycles. The ideal candidate will manage planning, execution, delivery, and stakeholder communication, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage IT projects focused on software and application development.
• Collaborate with development teams, QA, business analysts, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliverables.
• Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality goals.
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to leadership and clients.
• Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager in software/application development projects.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and project management methodologies.
• Hands-on experience coordinating developers, testers, and technical teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Trello).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications preferred.
