We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our 1-grid Team!
Job Purpose
Assist in driving the HR Agenda through managing the delivery of quality talent, ensuring the integrity of HR data and supporting talent development in order for 1-grid to achieve its operational and strategic objectives. You will be responsible for both management and administrative tasks and will contribute to making the company a great place to work through supporting wellness and employee engagement initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive and support various HR functions, including talent acquisition, labour relations, training, and development activities.
- Assist and drive training and development initiatives, support the training needs analysis process, and scheduling and delivery of training and awareness workshops.
- Manage the advertising, screening and shortlisting of active positions advertised and the completion of recruitment administration and verification processes.
- Maintain electronic and physical employee records and ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll input and queries/submissions.
- Provide support to employees, on all HR related queries and elevate where required.
- Assist and implement HR programmes, activities and policies, ensure all new policies are communicated to all stakeholders in the business.
- Support performance management tasks, including tracking employee performance, and manage the probation process for new employees.
- Extract monthly HR administration reporting on new employees, absenteeism management, leave, etc.
- Experience in ER, advising, scheduling of hearings, including documenting proceedings, experience in chairing.
- Assist with managing, coordinating and monitoring the on-boarding process.
- Work under the guidance of the HR manager in advising line managers in relation to people issues.
- Contribute to job satisfaction through prompt issue resolution and employee engagement activities, driving our culture club, wellness and staff events.
- Ensure procedures, policies, and practices adhere to labour legislation.
- Assess the climate to ensure an engaged and harmonious environment.
- General Office management also falls under the responsibility of HR.
Qualifications and Experience
- NQF level 6 human resource or related equivalent qualification
- Experience in ER, advising, scheduling of hearings, including documenting proceedings, and experience in chairing
- 2 – 4 years working experience in an HR Generalist, Manager or Head of HR role
- SETA-accredited facilitator, assessor and moderator certification (Advantageous)
- Previous experience working within HR in a contact centre environment and/or tech environment
- Must have a strong understanding, knowledge and experience in - LRA, BCEA, EE, SDA, OHS and POPI, and their application thereof
- Self-motivated with high energy levels & ability to deal with confidential information.
- Experience in maintaining an HR Management Information System & basic knowledge of Employee Assistance Programmes
- Strong interpersonal relationships, communication skills, and ability to take initiative.
- Experience in working with payroll preparation input and HR administration including exposure to HRIS and payroll systems a must.
