Overview
A global medical company is seeking a HR Generalist for a 6- month contract to be located in KZN.
This opportunity is great for a human resources professional with a strong employee relations and training & development experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
This is a dynamic role, and the incumbent will be responsible for employee relations, talent acquisition and organizational development. This role reports directly to the HR Manager.
Responsibilities
- Be the support and point of contact on Human Resources topics for both employees and line managers.
- Responsible for Talent Acquisition across different levels within the organization.
- Gives sound advice, support and execute various activities on Employee and ensure compliance with legal requirements of various Acts within legislation.
- Provide guidance to both employees and line management on policies and procedures.
- Provide expect knowledge, support and activities with various legislated authorization bodies.
- Participate and have an active role in Organizational Development initiatives, Training and Development and general Human Resources Administration
- Secure and or improve process delivery and contribution to overall high-quality Human Resources Information System within the organization
- Provide professional HR support in all operational / administrative HR issues related to agreed activities.
- Participates in projects and contributes to a service culture to fulfill the service level agreement with various stake holders.
Requirements
- Must have Matric and Tertiary HR Qualification;
- Minimum of 3 years HR partnering experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, and experience in dealing with SETA’s,
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and strong functional knowledge of HR Information Systems. Workday experience will be beneficial;
- Must be an excellent communicator (written, verbal and listening) and be able to engage in a professional manner at various levels within the business;
- Must have meticulous attention to detail, innovative with the ability to drive processes forward;
- Must be analytical, insightful, courageous and decisive
- Must work well within a team and be able to collaborate and work across functional teams at all levels;
- Must have high levels of integrity, care and honesty.
