HR Administrator (FTC) - ENS Cape Town
The temp assignment will be from 1 Feb 2026 until 21 July 2026.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for administering the recruitment process and fulfilling a general support function to the team. The successful applicant will be driven to perform, deliver outputs with urgency, be collaborative and handle pressure well. The candidate must be able and willing to process high volumes of documents and provide continuous feedback.
A general outline of the position includes the duties and responsibilities noted below but are not limited to:
- Managing an online and paper-based recruitment database
- Providing feedback to web queries within timeframes specified
- Preparing and maintaining various schedules
- Filtering and shortlisting applications
- Interacting and following up with various levels of candidates and support staff
- Coordinating interviews and assessment appointments
- Preparing interview packs
- Booking boardroom as and when required
- Conducting background and reference checks
- Filing and ad hoc administration
- Maintain HR records by updating and communicating new appointments, transfers, terminations, changes in job titles
- Leave administration
- Adhering to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) specific to area of responsibility
- Pipelining of high-volume roles (when required)
- Drafting of letters and internal memos
- Assist with all employee wellness initiatives
Onboarding
- The incumbent will send an email to the LPC on the 3rd of every month to inform them about new starters and leavers.
Knowledge and Skills
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a professional services environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to prioritise and understand the urgency of all tasks and completing projects/tasks in as short-as-possible time without sacrificing quality or compromising on standards.
- Exhibit sound judgement and the ability to deal with confidential information.
- The ability to be assertive and tactful.
- The ability to sort and make sense of large amounts of data.
- The ability to come up with new ideas and have a commitment to solving problems.
- Have a strong focus on pro‑activity and taking initiative.
- Have strong IT skills and ability to learn systems.

Educational Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification in HR or Administration essential
- Experience with recruitment practices would be advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
