Qualifications

• A Senior National Certificate
• Qualifications as a qualified diesel mechanic with a Red Seal certificate
• 2-3 years of hands‑on experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in senior roles
• Previous experience working in a dealership environment
• A valid driver's license
• Proficiency in fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines, plus basic auto‑electric work
• Strong problem‑solving skills, focusing on efficiency and accuracy
• Expertise in commercial vehicle engine maintenance, repair, and servicing
• The ability to effectively use diagnostic tools and software
• A solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
