Duties and responsibilities
- Actively contribute to Exco discussions / decision-making as a trusted financial leader and provide financial insight to guide group strategy, business development, and operational execution.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the Group.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) in compliance with IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with SARS requirements (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, Provisional Tax).
- Oversee statutory audit processes, manage relationships with external auditors, and implement audit recommendations.
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger and oversee financial processes at each operating company.
- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles for the Group.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario planning, investment evaluation, and project costing.
- Oversee financial systems (Pastel Partner / Sage / other) and ensure integration with operational systems.
- Build, mentor, and lead the finance team across sites, ensuring a culture of accountability, professionalism, and excellence.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting / Finance (CA(SA) or equivalent qualification preferred).
- Minimum 710 years progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a group accounting or senior finance leadership role (manufacturing environment preferred).
- IFRS expertise, strong knowledge of SARS compliance, experience in group consolidations and intercompany reconciliations, advanced Excel and ERP / Accounting system proficiency (Pastel Partner / Sage).
