We are seeking a General Manager – Lubricants to lead our multidisciplinary team, spearhead strategic growth, and drive operational and commercial excellence in our lubricants division.

As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will oversee the full spectrum of the lubricants business—from manufacturing and technical innovation to sales and product development—ensuring that all functions are aligned to meet strategic goals and exceed customer expectations.

Strategic Leadership : Shape and implement business plans that align with company objectives and market opportunities.

Manufacturing Excellence : Oversee production, quality control, safety compliance, and lean process improvement initiatives.

Product & Technical Leadership : Drive innovation through R&D, stay ahead of industry trends, and lead the development of competitive, customer-focused solutions.

Sales & Commercial Management : Lead sales strategies, pricing models, and customer engagement to accelerate revenue growth.

Team Development : Inspire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team across technical, operational, and commercial functions.

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Commerce .

At least 5 years' experience in technical / product management within the lubricants or chemicals sector.

Strong commercial acumen and leadership experience.

Deep understanding of product development, manufacturing processes, and quality management systems.

Valid Code 08 driver's license.

Innovative, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive change.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in MS Office and quick to adopt new technologies.

Familiar with industry standards such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, ISO , and IATF .

Candidate will be based between Pietermaritzburg and Durban sites.
