Job description

is assisting a boutique luxury lodge group in Limpopo, in sourcing an experienced and dynamic .

The GM couple will be responsible for the full operational, financial, and guest service oversight of both lodges. While one partner will ideally focus on guest engagement, food & beverage, and front-of-house, the other will manage the back-of-house functions including HR, maintenance, finance, and logistics.

Both will be deeply involved in staff training and performance management, creating a cohesive culture of care, professionalism, and pride.

Responsibilities
  • Full operational management of both lodges
  • Financial oversight, budgeting, and cost control in collaboration with head office
  • Strategic planning to enhance guest experience and lodge efficiencies
  • Leadership, mentorship, and training of all lodge teams
  • Oversee HR compliance, rosters, leave planning, and staff development
  • Act as the face of the lodge for guests, travel trade, media, and VIPs
  • Uphold sustainability practices, safety regulations, and health standards
  • Identify areas for innovation and product improvement across all guest touchpoints
  • Host daily briefings, manage logistics, and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Drive internal communication and team cohesion
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior hospitality management role (ideally as a couple)
  • Prior lodge, boutique hotel, or remote luxury property experience essential
  • Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and operational reporting
  • Skilled in team leadership, coaching, and building workplace culture
  • Confident hosts with an eye for detail and guest delight
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking ability
  • Practical knowledge of maintenance, stock control, and supplier management
  • Passionate about nature, conservation, and people-driven hospitality
  • Computer literate with strong administrative skills
  • Valid driver’s licenses and PDP (or willingness to obtain)
Remuneration

Up to R60k for the couple, with live-in accommodation
