The Role: Fragrance Development Technologist
This role supports the research and development team in designing and applying fragrances that meet diverse client requirements. It offers a defined career path, with the opportunity to grow into a head perfumer role within two years. Ideal for someone with both scientific knowledge and a passion for scent creation, the role bridges technical precision with creative expression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fragrance development, evaluation, or applications support
  • Characterise and match fragrances across oils, fine fragrance, personal care, home and fabric care
  • Prepare, analyse and interpret GC‑MS reports for fragrance quantification and profiling
  • Manage raw material quality, substitutions and formulation adjustments
  • Participate in olfactory evaluations and accurately interpret findings
  • Maintain and update the internal fragrance library and technical records
  • Keep abreast of new ingredients, technologies and global fragrance trends
  • Troubleshoot customer concerns through application testing and desktop research
About You
  • Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field
  • Proven experience in fragrance development, applications or R&D support
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Computer literacy with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams and with clients
  • Proactive, self‑driven and eager to grow into a perfumer role
