Responsibilities
  • Convene and run monthly financial reporting meeting executive summary, variance reporting, vehicle repairs / maintenance / replacement schedule and capex reporting.
  • Review and submission of tax returns.
  • Company secretarial work: Minute taking, CIPC updates and compliance
  • Record keeping
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards national and international interests.
  • Manage weekly and monthly payments.
  • Review of audit files.
  • Liaising with external auditors to ensure company compliance with all aspects of the audits.
  • Review and implementation of internal controls.
  • Managing departmental staff. This includes traveling to production units.
  • Continuous upkeep, evaluation and improvement of financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Includes applicable 3rd party software.
  • Management and control of : Legal agreements, including shareholder agreements, marketing agreements, production loan agreements, packing agreements, rental agreements, acquisition agreements, etc.
  • Credit applications and maintaining adequate credit limit levels.
  • Asset finance
  • Assets-all-risks and Marine Insurance renewals and claims.
  • Transfer Pricing Document(s) update.
  • Bankers compliance certificates.
  • SARB approvals.
  • Investigating government grant opportunities.
  • Administrative involvement and applicable mentoring in black empowerment employees trusts.
