Citra is now hiring an ambitious driven Financial Controller. You will report to the Head of Finance and work closely with Citra’s inhouse IT Team.

At Citra we care a lot about the personal direct interaction that builds the team and sparks ideas. Therefore, this position is office-based and not suitable for the home office.

Systems relevant to the Role

  • Google Sheets generated from various Finance and Project software systems

Requirements

For clarity, this role is an internal reporting function. The following support functions within Citra fall outside of this role: Bookkeeping, Treasury, External Reporting (Tax and year end closing).

Mandatory

Please only apply if you meet the mandatory requirements below:

  • Post Graduate in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, MBA or equivalent
  • Strong analysis skills and ability to provide data driven insight (budget actual, cost management)
  • Solid experience as Financial Controller in a fast-paced environment
  • Personable, driven with high standards for quality, integrity, professional communication and an ability to innovate
  • Please note that for this role, the following are beneficial, but not mandatory: Experience working in multiple jurisdictions (e.g. South Africa, USA, Switzerland)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheet skills and knowledge of Pivot Tables
  • Experience in the Property Development and / or Construction industry
  • High affinity for Financial systems is mandatory

Desirable but not mandatory

  • CA(SA) / CIMA/ SAIPA designation or equivalent
  • Have a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working
  • Have excellent communication, presentation, and cross-team collaboration
  • Have a keen eye for detail and a high standard for quality and timely reporting

Duties

Timely and accurate delivery in each of the following areas:

Planning/ budgeting; Analysis/ Controlling, Internal Reporting, Loans/ Covenants and special projects within the Finance Team.

Driving the process landscape related to the finances, including cost controlling, interface of business and accounting financial data, cost of sale, flow of data, financial systems innovation, and process reviews.
