Qualifications

• Assist with annual audits and budgets preparation.

An established wine farm located in Franschhoek, has a position for an Accountant. Our client produces wine, variety of fruits and herbs. It is also well known for hosting events, conferences, and weddings as well as the on-site bistro and picnics.

Requirements

• BCom in Accounting or similar tertiary qualification
• Completed articles (SAICA/SAIPA) – beneficial
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven work experience in a similar role
• Proficient working experience on Sage Intacct, beneficial
• Proficient working experience with MS Office
• Extensive knowledge of accounting concepts and principles
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
• Own reliable car and valid driver’s license
• Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
• Effective verbal, written and listening communications skills
• Professional personal appearance and work conduct
• Extreme accuracy in executing tasks
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Clear criminal record with no convictions

Duties and Responsibilities

• Full bookkeeping function to trail balance
• Checking correctness and updating of Creditors purchase orders
• Full Debtors and Creditors function (invoicing, reconciliations, monthly debtor statements, etc)
• Capture and reconciliation of bank accounts
• Manage and reconciliation of petty cash
• VAT recons
• Assist with preparation for annual audits
• Assist with preparation of annual budgets
• Assist with asset management
