You will also be responsible for managing and controlling day‑to‑day transactional accounting systems, processes, and procedures in compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and statutory regulations, ensuring that all journal entries are checked, processed, and reconciled on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the development, implementation, and oversight of professional financial management and accounting policies and systems to align with strategic objectives and comply with IFRS and statutory regulations.
  • Supervising the management and control of the assets register to ensure accurate accounting for the value of all current, fixed, and intangible assets.
  • Calculate and post general provisions.
  • Perform impairment tests on both intangible and tangible assets within fixed asset accounting.
  • Maintain the Finance and Controlling manual.
  • Conduct period‑end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and submit period‑end financial and tax reports.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits, focusing on inventory management.
  • Oversee the management and control of the assets register, ensuring accurate accounting for all current, fixed, and intangible assets, including cash, stock, inventories, property rights, buildings, and equipment.
  • Establish and monitor compliance reporting structures, policies, and controls to ensure adherence to IAS, IFRS, and statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer IT requirements and processes.
  • Plan, implement, and coordinate security activities.
  • Recruit, supervise, develop, and retain a skilled finance team and office support team.
Qualifications
  • Matric.
  • BCom Accounting.
  • CTA, CA(SA) or CIMA qualified.
  • Completed SAICA articles.
  • 8–10 years working experience.
  • 3 years as a financial manager, preferably in an engineering environment.
  • Experience in Navision.
  • Analytical skills – good at probing facts, challenges, and assumptions.
  • Observant and detail‑oriented.
