Finance Business Partner

Our client, a plant equipment manufacturer in Honeydew, is looking to employ a Finance Business Partner.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform a full accounting and reporting function.
  • Manage and control SAP systems for Finance and ML Controlling.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly internal business reporting and controlling.
  • Exercise financial control over inventory and assets, and conduct monthly assessments.
  • Reconcile balance sheets monthly.
  • Manage portfolio of internal and external audits, insurance, and income tax.
  • Lead budgeting process for BSAF.
  • Provide management reporting for Zambia Entity: posting the bank and monthly bank reconciliations (USD+ZMW), update fixed assets register, reconcile petty cash, and load creditor payments.
  • Verify postings are correct and valid.
  • Asses manufacturing orders monthly.
  • Manage stock movement and obsolete stock, ensuring all movements signed off.
  • Actively drive working capital ratios – cash, accounts receivable/payable, stock.
  • Reconcile assets quarterly to the asset register in SAP, report findings, and manage impairments.
  • Administer and manage stock system and conduct stock count process annually.
  • Complete monthly valuation, reach calculation (obsolete stock), analysis, and report on any differences.
  • Assist with full year-end internal and external audit, report non-conformances, and implement improvement actions for systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Review and manage actuals versus budget, implement cost-reduction actions for BSAF – BLUS and BJHB.
  • Assist with VAT, income tax, and Companies Act rules and implementation.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • BCOM completed.
  • 4–10 years of experience.
  • High degree of skill in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Exposure to SAP (key requirement) and Hyperion.
  • High level of understanding and control over business reporting requirements.
  • Strong orientation to problems and logical reasoning.
  • Ability to structure complex information and draw conclusions.
  • Good time management.
  • Capacity to work in an international environment and within a matrix organization.
