A prominent manufacturing company in Pretoria is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical support and improve manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Chemical Engineering and 5-8 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include troubleshooting production issues, developing quality control programs, and implementing performance metrics. If you possess a strong knowledge of continuous improvement principles and have hands-on engineering experience, this role offers an exciting opportunity for growth.
To provide technical process support to the production team, design, develop and implement systems and processes for continuous improvement in production process while maintaining acceptable safety and quality levels.
Knowledge and Skills: World Class Manufacturing / Fundamentals of Theory of Constraints (TOC) and/or LEAN methodology / Continuous improvement principles and solutions; Process monitoring and Control (e.g. Statistical Process Control (SPC, Pareto)); Problem Solving and Analysis (Ishikawa, RCA, PFMEA, Capability study); Process Automation Principles; Process simulation / modelling; Principle of Data Mining and Analytics; Production modelling software packages; ISO Project Management.
