In this role you will provide technical leadership and expertise in the design, development and maintenance of software applications. This is a hybrid role that offers a balance of flexibility and collaboration while you build technology that impacts millions of citizens nationwide.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field is typically required.
• Higher level of education or specialized certifications can be an advantage.
• At least 5–7 years of professional experience in software development with progressively more challenging and complex projects.
• Programming languages: Expertise in multiple languages including but not limited to C#, React, and Core with deep understanding of their features and best practices.
• Software architecture and design patterns: Knowledge of architectural principles and patterns such as MVC, MVVM, and SOLID (Single Responsibility, Open–Closed, Liskov Substitution, Interface Segregation, and Dependency Inversion).
• Databases: Understanding of relational database concepts (e.g., SQL), data modelling and query optimisation techniques.
• System design: Proficiency in designing scalable, reliable, high‑performance systems including distributed systems, microservices and cloud‑based architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Software development lifecycle: Familiarity with methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban and experience managing the full lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
