The End User Computing (EUC) Analyst is responsible for the operational ownership, management, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s endpoint environment. This includes endpoint device management, software deployment, remediation of vulnerabilities and audit findings, workstation standards enforcement, asset management system ownership, and Tier 2/3 endpoint escalation.
The role bridges projects, security, and operations by ensuring endpoint‑related initiatives and remediation actions are executed to completion, reducing operational risk and improving endpoint stability and compliance.
This is an outcome‑driven role requiring strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and execution capability.
- Endpoint Device Management & Software Deployment (Primary Accountability)
- Own the operational management of endpoint devices across the organisation
- Administer and maintain endpoint management platforms (e.g. Intune, SCCM, Manage Engine Endpoint Central or equivalent)
- Manage the full software lifecycle, including:
- Packaging, deployment, updating, and removal of applications
- Standard software catalog maintenance
- License compliance and optimisation
- Deploy and manage:
- Operating system configurations
- Security baselines, Policies and Profiles
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex endpoint management and deployment issues
- Identify opportunities for automation and standardisation to reduce manual effort
- Endpoint Remediation & Project Execution:
- Take ownership of endpoint remediation activities arising from:
- Vulnerability assessments
- Security findings
- Audit issues
- Endpoint‑related projects
- Translate technical findings into actionable remediation plans
- Execute remediation at device level and track progress to closure
- Provide regular status reporting to stakeholders
- Identify root causes and implement preventative controls to avoid repeat issues
- Workstation & Endpoint Standards Ownership:
- Define, maintain, and enforce workstation build and configuration standards
- Ensure endpoint compliance with security and operational baselines
- Investigate recurring endpoint incidents and implement long‑term fixes
- Maintain and improve endpoint documentation, standards, and procedures
- Support continuous improvement of endpoint reliability and performance
- Asset Management System Ownership:
- Act as the operational owner of the asset management system
- Ensure accurate and complete asset lifecycle tracking, including:
- Device provisioning and allocation
- User assignment
- Warranty and refresh cycles
- Decommissioning and disposal
- Reconcile physical devices with system records
- Produce asset reports for audit, security, and management
- Improve asset management processes and integration with the service desk
- Helpdesk Escalation & Quality Oversight:
- Provide escalation support for complex endpoint issues
- Analyse recurring incidents and identify root causes
- Review adherence to SOPs, checklists, and endpoint standards
- Update and improve documentation and knowledge base article
- Stable, well‑managed endpoint device environment
- Reliable and repeatable software deployment processes
- Timely closure of endpoint remediation actions
- Accurate and trusted asset management data
- Reduced repeat endpoint incidents and operational risk
- Required Skills and Experience
- Essential:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Hands‑on experience managing Windows workstations in an enterprise environment
- Experience with endpoint device management platforms (e.g. Intune, SCCM, Manage Engine Endpoint Central or similar)
- Experience with software packaging and deployment
- Ability to interpret security and audit findings and execute remediation
- Working knowledge of asset management systems
- Strong documentation and process discipline
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
- Desirable:
- Exposure to vulnerability management or security remediation
- Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g. PowerShell)
- Prior involvement in IT projects or endpoint standardisation initiatives
