Overview

Our manufacturing client based in Johannesburg is looking to employ an experienced Electrical Engineer to their team.

Requirements

• Minimum National Diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics.
• More than 5 years’ experience in automation.
• Knowledge of electronic systems and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of electrical processes and South African standards (SANS 10142) as well as relevant international standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office (intermediate level).
• Experience in project management and execution.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
• E-Plan software experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical costing for projects.
• Develop control concepts and select hardware for automation systems based on RFQs and engineering principles.
• Create detailed electrical designs (PowerPoint/Visio) for customer presentation and sign-off.
• Prepare detailed electrical manufacturing and site installation plans.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning of equipment.
• Document processes and generate technical reports.
• Implement site safety standards during plant commissioning.
• Supervise and support the electrical project manufacturing and installation team.
• Provide standby support and attend to callouts when required.
• Plan and execute electrical projects from start to completion.
