Duties & Responsibilities

• The job focuses on the design and development of railway construction projects.
• You will be required to develop civil construction project specifications and designs based on customer requirements and design standards.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other construction professionals to validate design feasibility and ensure alignment with client project specifications.
• Utilize working knowledge of CAD software and other engineering tools to refine construction project designs, including the creation of 3D models and animations using CAD, Civil 3D, and BIM software.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost‑benefit analyses to evaluate the viability of proposed designs and construction techniques.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project and contract documentation, encompassing design reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance of construction projects with statutory and regulatory requirements, while upholding safety, reliability, and sustainability standards.
• Work collaboratively with members of the multi‑disciplinary project team to ensure timely and budget‑conscious completion of construction projects, adhering to defined quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings, presenting recommendations to senior project management team members.
• Conduct regular project team meetings, providing guidance and support to multi‑disciplinary team members.
• Maintain transparent communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of project progress and any adjustments in project planning or milestones.

Skills & Experience

• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
• At least ten years' experience.
• Five of the ten years post professional registration (Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng) should be in planning, preparing/ managing designs and delivery of civil infrastructure scope within multi-disciplinary projects including bulk earthworks, roads, drainage networks including Construction Management experience.

Qualification

BSc/BEng Degree or BTech (Civil).
