This role involves providing hands-on instruction in culinary skills, kitchen safety, and food preparation, while helping students develop workforce-ready skills to support their reentry success. The ideal candidate will have professional culinary experience, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to student growth and success.
Help students to learn subject matter which will lead toward fulfillment of their potential intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth. Directs, assesses, and evaluates the learning experiences of students along with assessing the effectiveness of academic area/s in which he/she is employed to teach. Provide instruction needed for students to qualify for certification in the respective fields.
Bachelor’s degree. Relevant and documented work experience in the vocational field. Possess or be willing to obtain a Workplace Specialist Permit.
Prior work experience in a correctional facility is preferred.
