Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for managing credit risk? Join a dynamic team as a Credit Risk Analyst, where you’ll play a vital role in assessing, managing, and monitoring credit exposures within shareholders’ portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze new credit requests to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  2. Conduct annual reviews of existing credit exposures and ensure they remain within acceptable thresholds.
  3. Prepare ratings and Loss Given Default (LGD) assessments for credit counterparties.
  4. Present findings and recommendations to the credit committee for approval.
  5. Monitor ongoing risks and take action to mitigate potential issues.
  6. Calculate and report on impairments quarterly as part of the watchlist process.
  7. Draft and present quarterly memoranda to the Financial Market Risk Forum.
  8. Prepare other reports or recommendations for the Financial Market Risk Forum, including policy decisions and project updates.
  9. Attend client meetings to foster strong relationships and deliver exceptional service.
  10. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and maintain professional communication.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Education: BCom (Hons) with a major in Finance or a related field.
  2. Advantageous: CA (SA), CFA, or equivalent qualification.
  3. 1–3 years of experience in credit risk analysis, with exposure to corporate and public sector credit risk. Experience in workouts and project finance is a plus.
