Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join a dynamic team focused on structuring and executing innovative solutions in the distressed credit space. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on complex transactions, manage credit portfolios, and contribute to strategic investment decisions across a diverse range of assets.

You will work closely with investment, legal, operations, finance, and valuation teams to deliver transactions and strengthen the organisation’s position as a principal investor and servicer of non-performing credit portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute distressed credit transactions end-to-end
  • Identify and evaluate investment opportunities through market and portfolio analysis
  • Develop financial models, valuations, and investment cases for approval
  • Manage due diligence, transaction timelines, and stakeholder engagement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver tailored client solutions
  • Monitor post-transaction portfolio performance and recovery outcomes
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Qualifications & Experience
  • CA(SA), CFA, or BCom Honours in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 3–5 years’ experience in credit investing, investment banking, corporate finance, or portfolio management
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical, and investment case presentation skills
  • Knowledge of distressed credit, credit risk, and regulatory frameworks (e.g. IFRS 9, Basel)
  • Commercial, solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
