Your typical day in a radiology environment includes:
  • Working closely with the rest of the team to provide superior diagnostic and interventional services.
  • Collaborating with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure accurate, timely patient diagnoses.
  • Managing patient care with compassion and professionalism, ensuring comfort and safety throughout their visit with us.
  • Contributing to a fast-paced, evolving environment where your skills are valued and continuously honed.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Matric. Qualification / Certification relevant to Credit Control advantageous
  • Intermediate Word, Excel, Outlook
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a healthcare environment
  • Experience with collection of Medical Aid debt across a broad spectrum of the healthcare market
  • Computer literate, preferably on systems such as HIMS within a healthcare environment and able to adjust to using different technologies.
  • Experience working in Credit Control in a Radiology environment advantageous
  • The ability to plan and prioritise workload is crucial
  • High level interpersonal skills and able to develop and maintain positive relationships with branches, hospital staff, patients and medical aids
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with people clearly and effectively at all levels (both verbal and non-verbal communication)
  • Great attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work under pressure is vital for this role

Main Responsibilities:
  • Meeting financial targets and strict deadlines.
  • Review and understand your aged analysis and identify areas of concern.
  • Reconcile remittances from the medical aid and take the appropriate action on any rejected account(s).
  • Review all rejected claims for PMB benefits, review ICD10 coding and resubmit to the funds for payment.
  • Understand and apply the scheme rules for your allocated medical aids.
  • Maintain the outstanding debtor days below 25 days.
  • Use the system diary effectively and action the diary notes daily.
  • Respond to member queries - telephonic or in writing within the same day.
  • Share knowledge and skills with your colleagues.
  • Always remain calm and professional regardless of the circumstances.
  • Take responsibility for a query and follow through to finalization.
  • Ensure you understand the POPI Act legislation, the protection of the disclosure of information of our patients / members and our own staff members and the impact thereof on our practice.

  • Monday – Friday on a bi-weekly rotational basis:

07:30 – 16:00 or 08:00 – 16:30
