Job summary

A global commodities trading company is seeking a Financial Analyst to support strategic and financial objectives. You will provide analytical support across mining and trading operations, evaluate investment opportunities, prepare financial models, and conduct market analysis. Role Overview

In this role you will support the company's strategic and financial objectives by providing analytical, modelling, and research support across mining and trading operations. The role involves evaluating investment opportunities, preparing financial models, conducting market and industry analysis, and assisting with capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and other business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess investment opportunities, projects, and corporate transactions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of existing assets and investments.
  • Conduct valuation analyses (DCF, comparable company, precedent transactions).
  • Prepare presentations, investment memos, and reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Support capital raising initiatives and liaise with financial institutions, investors, and advisors.
  • Perform industry, commodity market, and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions.
