Summary

We are seeking to employ a Construction Site Agent to lead turnkey sanitation projects. The role involves planning, coordinating, budgeting, and managing the construction of projects from inception to completion. They are required to handle all aspects of project coordination and execution and will be responsible for ensuring that the project objectives are met in terms of quality, timelines and budget. Additionally, the Construction Site Agent will be responsible for stakeholder management, including regular communication and ensuring that all commercial commitments are met.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Handle all aspects of project coordination and execution.
  • Ensure project objectives are met in terms of quality, timelines and budget.
  • Client management, including regular communication and ensuring all commercial commitments are met.
  • Develop detailed project plans (MS Project), scopes, objectives, and manage project progress to meet deadlines and milestones.
  • Develop project charter.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Deliver every project on time within budget and scope.
  • Maintain strong commercial understanding to accurately monitor and report financial condition of the project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and client management must be demonstrated.
  • Apply problem‑solving skills and anticipate risks.
  • Manage engineering contracts (FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, GCC).
  • Ensure client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate internal resources and contractors for flawless execution of projects.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Report and escate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Implement Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and any recommendations from audits within the project environment.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • 5 years site agent experience in water and sanitation construction projects.
  • 5 years experience in project management with a good understanding of project execution, preferably with exposure to engineering contracting models.
  • Basic level MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Power Point skills required.
  • Intermediate MS Excel and MS Project skills required.
  • Bachelors degree (BSc. or B.Tech) or similar in the built environment (Civil, Construction Management or Chemical).
  • Must be able to manage financial budgets.
  • Proven track record in managing construction projects in water and sanitation.
