Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cluster Finance Manager to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations across multiple countries in the region, ensuring compliance, driving financial performance, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the finance function for a cluster of hotels, providing strategic financial guidance to senior management
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing variances and providing insights to improve financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards
  • Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize financial operations
  • Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing appropriate risk management strategies
  • Participate in mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives, providing financial due diligence and analysis
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master\'s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance preferred
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in finance management, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles
  • Strong experience in managing finance teams and multi-country financial operations
  • Expert knowledge of financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills
  • In-depth understanding of international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
  • Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations in African countries
  • Experience in corporate finance within emerging markets
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Willingness to travel within the cluster region as required
