Our client, an esteemed International Mining House, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil & Structural Engineer to join their team in the Northern Cape.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, manage, and implement civil and structural aspects of all project packages, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
  • Oversee the management and handover of all related drawings, documents, and commissioning protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards throughout all project phases.
  • Act as the project coordinator, collaborating with business partners to resolve engineering and site‑related issues.
  • Track project tasks and schedules, analyze key risks, and proactively highlight potential issues.
  • Conduct quantity certification and quality checks to maintain high standards.
  • Ensure projects are completed within the allocated time and budget constraints.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Civil/Construction Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering within the mining industry.
  • Proven experience in project management roles and execution through EPC/Construction partners.
  • Thorough understanding of civil and infrastructure aspects, including foundations, roads, drains, and secondary infrastructure.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
