A prominent recruitment agency seeks a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a 5-year contract based in East London, Eastern Cape. The ideal candidate must hold a Master's qualification in Commerce or Development Finance and possess 10 years of executive experience. Qualifications

  • 10 years of working experience at an Executive level.
  • Experience in development finance institutions lending environment or private sector commercial environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of public sector working will be advantageous.
  • Able to integrate technology into systems and processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of property management and the development finance industry.
  • Effective people-management and motivation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Attain financial and operational sustainability whilst delivering the company mandate.
  • Enable sustainable economic growth by stimulating activity in selected sectors.
  • Lead on matters relating to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digitisation.
  • Manage strategic stakeholder relations across the board.
  • Formulate policy and contribute to the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure that relevant government strategies are implemented and integrated.
  • Provide leadership to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a 5‑year contract based in East London, Eastern Cape.

Qualifications
  • Master's qualification in Commerce or Development Finance. MBA or MBL is an added advantage.
  • 10 years of working experience at an Executive level.
  • Experience in development finance institutions lending environment or private sector commercial environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of public sector working will be advantageous.
  • Able to integrate technology into systems and processes.
  • In‑depth knowledge of property management and the development finance industry.
  • Effective people‑management and motivation skills.
Responsibilities

  • Enable sustainable, development‑driven economic growth of the Province by stimulating activity in selected sectors and all geographic areas.
  • Lead on matters relating to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, innovation, and digitisation.
  • Manage strategic stakeholder relations across the board.
  • Formulate policy and contribute to the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure that relevant government strategies are fully implemented and integrated into offerings.
  • Offer strategic leadership, executive management, entrepreneurship ambassadorship, and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure that corporate strategies, policies, procedures and resources are effectively and efficiently planned and implemented to comply with PFMA Act requirements.
  • Ensure that skills development for corporate and business unit staff is effectively initiated and implemented to optimise capacity and core competencies.
  • Identify and secure key strategic and operational alliances for the Corporation in the public, private and developmental sectors.
  • Provide leadership to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee governance, control and legal systems.
  • Develop and maintain a shared vision and mission amongst management and staff so that the organisation survives and thrives whilst assuming full responsibility for the Corporation.

Salary: Market related.
