Chief Executive Officer - Distribution and Product Supply Sector

Our client in the Distribution and Product Supply sector is seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially astute Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth and international expansion. This is an executive level opportunity to drive customer centric strategies, shape product and pricing portfolios, and strengthen market presence across South Africa and the African continent.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive international market expansion, ensuring consistent year-on-year revenue growth and market share.
• Champion customer focused strategies that strengthen client, supplier, and partner relationships.
• Lead the development of product portfolios, pricing strategies, and new country market entries.
• Oversee inventory, logistics, working capital, and profitability with a strong focus on compliance and transparent reporting.
• Build and maintain a high performance culture by fostering accountability, inclusivity, succession planning, and professional excellence.
• Ensure governance and compliance standards are upheld across all operational regions.
• Report directly to the Board of Directors, providing strategic insight, market intelligence, and progress against growth objectives.

Experience

• At least 10 years’ experience in the Distribution or Product Supply sector, with a minimum of 5 years at senior executive or CEO level.
• Demonstrated success in driving aggressive revenue growth and leading international or multi-country expansion.
• Strong commercial instincts with proven expertise in pricing, stock ratios, operations, and customer engagement.
• Experience in building and scaling high-performance teams in fast-paced, competitive environments.
• Knowledge of channel development and market entry strategies across diverse African markets.
• Hands on operational leadership with the ability to balance strategic vision and execution excellence.

Educational Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (essential).
• A postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) will be advantageous.
