Job summary

A leading aviation services provider is looking for a Charter Coordinator in Kempton Park, Gauteng. The role involves managing charter flight preparations, liaising with various sections for efficiency, and establishing customer relationships. Candidates should have at least a Grade 12 education, with a Travel/Marketing diploma advantageous, and possess strong communication and Microsoft Office skills. The position requires flexibility for weekend and holiday work, as well as a valid passport.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 is required.
  • Diploma or Degree in Travel/Marketing is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare costings and proposals for charters.
  • Liaison with the Scheduling Manager regarding aircraft allocation.
  • Manage customer interactions for Charter Agreements.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Preparation of costings and proposals for charters. (Trip cost estimates)
  • Liaison with Scheduling Manager in respect of aircraft and crewavailability as well as the most efficient and cost-effective utilisation ofthe crew
  • Liaise with Legal section in respect of Charter Agreements and ensure allrelevant inclusions / exclusion / payment terms are covered
  • Liaise with customer regarding the conclusion of the Charter Agreementand maintain regular interaction with the customer
  • Hold pre-flight briefings with all concerned on charter flights ensuring allsections are aware of charter details
  • Monitor all aspects of the charter flight
  • Reconcile and verify all charter flight costs and ensure all payment termsare met
  • Ensure business development through follow up on quotes provided andprospecting of possible new customers through research and ideas
  • Keep abreast of new developments
  • Assist the Manager: Charters with the control of the sectionsFixed Expenses and Budget
  • Liaise with Groups section in respect of work synergies
  • Ensure efficient management of Charters and Contracts
  • Build database and knowledge on competitors operating in same market
  • Preparing of Presentations and Reports as required.
Qualifications and experience
  • Grade 12
  • Travel / Marketing Diploma or Degree will be an advantage
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English speak, readand write
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Able and willing to work after hours, weekends and public holidays asmay be required from time to time
  • Willingness to travel
  • Valid Passport and Health Certificates (e.g. Yellow Fever)
  • Knowledge of aircraft performance and experience in the aviationindustry
  • Product knowledge within the markets of operation will be a definiteadvantage
