ROLE PURPOSE

The Business Development Consultant drives IAM's growth by identifying new opportunities, securing clients, and positioning IAM as a leading partner in operational excellence.

This role requires a confident, technically aware, performance-driven individual who can engage decision-makers, articulate value, and close deals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Business Development & Sales (50%)
    • Identify, engage, and convert new clients across multiple industries.
    • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and pitches.
    • Manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure.
    • Negotiate commercial terms, ensuring favourable outcomes for IAM.
    • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual acquisition targets.
  2. Client & Stakeholder Engagement (25%)
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
    • Position IAM's services as technical, high-value solutions.
    • Represent IAM at industry forums, events, seminars, and exhibitions.
  3. Research & Market Intelligence (10%)
    • Conduct market scanning to identify new opportunities and industry trends.
    • Analyse competitor activity and market shifts.
    • Provide insights to support strategy development and new service offerings.
  4. Programme & Proposal Support (10%)
    • Assist in developing feasibility studies, business cases, and proposals.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions to client needs.
    • Provide sales support to project teams and senior management.
  5. Reporting & Administration (5%)
    • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide progress reports.
    • Ensure compliance with company processes and documentation standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field (Engineering preferred).

Minimum 5–7 years experience in business development, sales, or corporate partnerships.

Proven ability to source, pitch, and close business deals.

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to engage at senior and executive levels across industries.

Technical understanding of operations, engineering, or process optimisation is an advantage.

CONTRACT DETAILS

Start Date: ASAP (subject to verification and onboarding).

Probation: 3 months.
