What You’ll Do

We are seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Business Development Analyst to support our sales and business development teams. This role is pivotal in driving actionable insights, ensuring robust market analysis, and supporting operational optimization across a diverse portfolio of renewable energy assets.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Market & Competitive Analysis
    • Conduct market surveys to track industry trends, commodity price movements (e.g., copper), and competitor activities
    • Ensure intelligence on market position, market share, competitor market share, and identify areas of competitive advantage
    • Identify emerging opportunities and risks in target markets
    • Maintain updated registration with EPCs and mining companies to ensure tender eligibility
  • Sales Data Management & Reporting
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify patterns and performance gaps
    • Prepare monthly sales reports and quarterly sales reviews aligned with CrossBoundary quality standards
    • Develop dashboards and KPIs for real‑time performance monitoring
    • Manage CRM and ensure pipeline follow‑up
  • Forecasting & Strategy Support
    • Build predictive models for sales forecasting and revenue projections
    • Provide data‑driven recommendations to optimize pricing strategies and improve conversion rates
    • Prepare business plans (go‑to‑market strategies, sales reviews)
  • Internal Coordination
    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and management teams to ensure alignment of strategies
    • Support operational processes for tenders and client documentation
    • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure compliance with reporting standards
  • External Interaction
    • Assist the sales team in sales meetings and lead qualification process
    • Attend sales conferences with the sales team as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in sales analysis, business intelligence, or similar roles (preferably in mining or energy sectors)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce, MSD)

Location

Candidates will ideally work from Johannesburg, South Africa. We are open to considering Cape Town, South Africa or Nairobi, Kenya, as alternatives.
