Description

A well-established leader in the composite materials industry is looking for an experienced Branch Admin Stock Controller to join their team at the Cape Town branch.

This role plays a key part in managing warehouse operations, logistics, inter-branch stock movements and branch administration.

Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • A tertiary qualification (Diploma/Degree) in Supply Chain, Logistics or Administration will be advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in stock control and administration.
  • Sound knowledge of stock management, logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Compliance knowledge relating to transport regulations and hazardous goods handling will be an advantage.
  • Computer literate with strong working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Sage Evolution.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail; thorough, meticulous and accurate.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with customers and suppliers at all levels.
  • A team player who can also work independently.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure correct stock handling and storage.
  • Conduct regular stock takes, reconcile variances and monitor stock movements.
  • Manage ageing stock and implement measures to minimise obsolescence.
  • Coordinate logistics, including container arrivals, shipment updates and transport arrangements.
  • Support production activities such as mixtures and decanting.
  • Manage drivers’ schedules and the company fleet, ensuring compliance with licensing and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and submit accurate stock and logistics reports to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and health and safety standards.
  • Handle and coordinate all branch administrative functions.
  • Assist with ad hoc duties as required.
