Requirements
  • Clear security screening record.
  • Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a qualified Boilermaker Aide / Apprentice / Artisan within a mining/plant environment.
  • Section 13 or 26D (completed learnership / apprenticeship) Boilermaker Trade Certificate as recognised by the QTCO.
  • N2 Platers & Structural Steel Drawing.
  • N2 Platers Theory.
  • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults) with English Literacy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance, Installations and Construction
  • Adhere to equipment maintenance, installation and construction of workplace facilities to standards and specifications.
  • All maintenance, installations and constructions to be inspected and checked for quality purposes.
  • Safe, correct and effective application of equipment and machinery utilised during duties.
  • Adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Attending to mechanical breakdowns.
  • Escalation of unresolved breakdowns or unsuccessful maintenance, installation and constructions.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Administration
  • Completion of relevant documentation.
  • Adherence to document control standards and procedures.
  • Provisioning of data and information.
  • Safekeeping of documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Relations
  • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally.
  • Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaising with the necessary entities on any environmental management related requirements and alignment where applicable.
  • Financial Management
  • Leading and driving cost saving and cash conservation initiatives.
  • Remaining competitive on the global cost curve for surface operations. Building a values‑based organisational culture

Additional Requirements
  • Valid Fork Lift and Mobile Crane driver’s licence will be advantageous.
